From their humble beginnings as a band in the 1980s at USC, Hootie and the Blowfish have achieved incredible success, with 17 singles that reached the Billboard charts, over 25 million albums sold, and two Grammys to their name. Their forthcoming 2024 tour, which will stop in 43 cities across the United States and Canada, is sure to be a spectacular event, and anyone in the know already understands how incredible this show will be.
The band's 1994 debut album, "Cracked Rear View," started trending following a performance on David Letterman's Late Show. Of course, it also helped that it was full of some of the most awesome music ever. They eventually went on to release other albums, two of which reached the top ten in the US: "Fair weather Johnson" and "Musical Chairs."
Frontman Darius Rucker will be performing his rich, soulful vocals on the trek, with the talents of Mark Bryan on guitar, Jim "Soni" Sonefeld on drums, and Dean Felber on bass. Beginning on May 30 in Dallas, the events will continue through June, July, and August, culminating in a stunning finale on September 28 in West Palm Beach.
Along with them, you'll be able to hear the distinctive sounds of Collective Soul and Edwin McCain on every date they're playing. In addition, on June 21, they will be joined by the Barenaked Ladies for a unique performance at Fenway Park.
Their last tour was in 2019, so fans are understandably excited to see them perform live again. In addition, their previous tour sold out everywhere, so passes will likely be in high demand. But don't worry—we have you covered right now, but you'd better act fast because even our supply is limited.
You can guarantee that every single person will find a favorite song among the many selections from their huge back catalog, which includes "Let Her Cry," "Only Wanna Be with You," "Hold My Hand," "I Will Wait," "Time," and countless more.
